Lead is undetectable in water by taste, colour or smell and can occur as a result of corrosion. It is a cumulative poison meaning it collects in the body until it reaches toxic levels.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS...

Q: Isn't external pipework the Water Board's responsibility?
A: Afraid not, the underground water pipe from the valve in the pavement leading to and entering your house is your responsibility. When you bought your house, you bought the pipe!

Q: How long will I be without water?
A: Usually 15 minutes.

Q: What about mess inside and outside my house?
A: All excavations are backfilled and reinstated. Our operatives clean up after each job as part of a day's work and take their boots off to work inside.

Q: What do I need to do regarding the Water Authority?
A: Nothing, we make the applications and acquire certification on your behalf.
